We need to be responsible stewards of the environment our operations impacts on during all stages of the mine’s lifecycle to attract the goodwill of the local communities. Our management seeks to operate within the limits of our available physical, natural and social resources in ways that allow our stakeholders to believe in the continuity of the business. We commit to the safest methods of mining in adherence to all the regulatory requirements.

The success of our business is dependent on our relationships with a number of key external and internal stakeholders who together determine both our regulatory and social rights to operate as a key priority on our scorecard.

Our Sustainability goal is to safely co-exist with our workers, regulators, creditors and communality leaders and well as our customers and other

service providers over a long time. Our shareholders are regarded as residual benefactors in this regard.

We endeavour to make environmental stewardship a central theme to our operations. Over the lifecycle of the mine to date, we have demonstrated social responsibilities by building relationship with local and communal leadership as well as investment in communal projects where we can. We can clearly say that our operations have provided the economic benefits to the regional economy of the Western Region on an Input-Output basis.
